Downtown runs on desks, and desks run on our necks and shoulders. If you finish the day stiff, tight, and reaching for the same knot, this one is for you.
Why desks hurt
Hours of forward posture ask a handful of muscles to hold your head and arms in place without a break. They shorten, tighten, and form trigger points — the tender knots that refer pain up the neck and into the head.
What we do about it
Treatment usually combines needling of the tight bands with cupping or gua sha to lift the fascia and restore circulation. Moxibustion can add gentle warmth when a knot is especially stubborn and cold. Most people leave noticeably looser.
“Your neck is holding more than your head — often a whole day of tension.”
Micro-habits between visits
Small resets go a long way: a screen at eye level, a two-minute shoulder roll each hour, and a short walk at lunch. We will send you off with a couple that fit your setup.
A single session can unlock a tight neck; a short course keeps it from creeping back.
