About this treatment

Acupuncture is the core of our practice — a gentle, precise therapy that treats the whole person, not just the symptom. Very fine, single-use needles are placed at specific points to ease pain, calm the nervous system, and restore balance.

Whether you are managing long-held pain, stress, poor sleep, or simply want to feel more like yourself, each 50-minute session is shaped around you and adjusted as your body responds.

A first visit is a conversation before it is a needle: what hurts, what you have tried, and what you want back. The practice sits at 139 Fulton Street, in Downtown Manhattan, New York City. Sessions are Monday through Friday, by appointment; book online.

In the room

Calm, precise, unhurried.

Acupuncture is quiet, considered work. Here is what a session actually feels like — and why so many people come to see it as the calmest hour of their week.

Acupuncture needles NYC

Precise, barely-there needles

The needles are about the width of a hair — most people feel little to nothing. Once they are in, you simply rest as your body settles and the work begins.

After acupuncture NYC

A whole-body reset

Acupuncture works with your nervous system, not against it. Most people leave feeling lighter, clearer, and more grounded — an effect that deepens over a course of care.

Your course of care

What a course usually looks like.

Most people move through three gentle phases. This is a typical arc — yours is always shaped around you at your first visit.

PhaseVisitsCadenceWhat we focus on
Relief1–3WeeklyCalm the acute pattern and take the edge off the sharpest symptoms.

Getting the most from each visit.

Before your visit
  • Have a light meal an hour or two beforehand — arriving hungry can leave you lightheaded.
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing that rolls up past the elbows and knees.
  • Skip intense exercise, alcohol, and heavy caffeine right before.
  • Jot down anything that has changed — sleep, stress, symptoms.
After your visit
  • Drink plenty of water and take it a little easy afterwards.
  • Notice how you sleep and feel over the next 48 hours.
  • Keep to any simple stretches or herbs we send you home with.
  • Book your next visit to keep the rhythm going.
Good to know

Most people feel little to nothing. The needles are far finer than the ones used for injections; you may notice a brief, dull heaviness that settles into a calm, grounded feeling.

It depends on what we are treating and how long it has been present. You will get an honest estimate at your first visit, and we revisit it as you progress.

A 50-minute acupuncture session is $110. The shorter treatments — cupping, gua sha and moxibustion — are $70 for 30 minutes. Each is billed separately.

We do not bill insurance. Visits are out of network and paid at the time of care.

We are at 139 Fulton Street, New York, NY 10038 — two minutes on foot from the Fulton St station (A C J Z 2 3 4 5), with WTC/Cortlandt (E R W) and the PATH just west. Tribeca, Battery Park City and the South Street Seaport are all within a ten-minute walk.

Every session uses sterile, single-use needles, and your acupuncturist is licensed in New York State.
